Put On The Armour, Keep Watch & Pray

Put On The Armour, Keep Watch & Pray

(an aifc devotional)

As Christians in spiritual warfare, you must wear all the armour that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. Ephesians 6:13 TPT

Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).” Ephesians 6:18 AMPC

We speak much of the armour of God (as well we should), and we literally need to be consciously wearing it at all times. It is also good to focus on where we are to be positioned during battles. If we’re alive and breathing then we are facing battles, so this isn’t for someone else, or another day – it is for us in today and tomorrow and until the Lord returns.

Be blessed as you stand (in)

Truth – knowing what God’s word says about the circumstances you’re facing.

Righteousness – we are made ‘right’ before Him and we cannot be shaken because we know our position, our standing in Him

Stand – alert and ready to share His peace; Him

Faith – though we do not understand the circumstances, we know the One who is with us in them. We know He is a good God because it is His nature to be so; we know we are more than conquerors in Him; we know His massive arms protect and shield us.

Salvation – know Whose we are and who we are in Him. We are forgiven, healed, delivered, rescued, liberated, saved for purpose and prosperity. We are the head, not the tail. We. Are. Saved… amazing grace.

The Word of God – if we love Him then we are lovers of His Word – of Him. In the beginning, was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

Prayer – all types and at all times with boldness and fervency

[bctt tweet=”Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers. Ephesians 6:18 TPT” via=”no”]

Praise God for His armour, for Himself, for His grace and mercies, for salvation, for life and for His provision.

Spiritual Formation, Fear, and Following God’s Call

January 24, 2026 | Faith

Ready to Change? Most people do not resist change because they are stubborn or unwilling. They resist because change asks something of them — emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. Often, the desire for change is present long before action follows. People recognise patterns that are no longer life-giving. They notice recurring struggles, emotional reactions, or relational…

When Compassion Isn’t Enough

January 19, 2026 | Faith

Why Spiritual Formation Matters in Ministry   Most people enter the ministry of helping others because they care deeply. They are willing to show up, listen, pray, and walk alongside others in difficult seasons. Compassion is often what draws people into ministry in the first place. But over time, many discover that compassion alone is…
