This Christmas – Share, Love & Add Value To Others

There are some really great ways for sharing the Gospel.  It all begins by intentionally changing our perspective to fall into line with how Jesus himself views each and every one of us.  We are called to be the salt of the earth (salt has healing properties to cure the flesh), and the light of the world (bearers of the truth).  Matthew 5:13-14

When Jesus who is the light of all men walked the earth, he loved and valued others by giving them their dignity and respect. Encouraging others to get to know God starts with our very own example of what Christ has done for us. We just might be the only example of true Christianity an individual sees in their entire lifetime.

Let’s take a look at how Jesus loved others.

Jesus’ love for others was unconditional, supernatural and complete. People mean a lot to God. He sen Jesus  to save the world because of His great love for us. John 3:16

Jesus showed love in many different ways. He spoke about the two greatest commandments written in Luke 10:27.

He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.”

Listen To Others – When we fully listen without interrupting others we are adding value to the other person by respecting them. Jesus had time for people in their time of need and though he knew their hearts, he listened carefully to their words and responded with truth for building others up. Mark 5:34:36

Exercise Patience – He was also kind, not envious or rude. He wasn’t self-seeking and he always put God first. Jesus was humble. But, we must walk in close relationship with Christ if we are to be an example at all.  The same patience and kindness is the fruit of the spirit of holiness.  We can practice kindness in the home, at work and everywhere we go.  John 14:9

Be Approachable, Wise, Speak The Truth And Show Mercy – The people who trusted Jesus saw that in his divine nature Jesus spoke the truth with authority; he was quick to forgive and showed mercy. Even when Mary Magdalene was brought before a crowd due to being caught in the act of adultery, he didn’t look upon her shame (nakedness), but instead drew in the sand.  Those looking to trap Jesus demanded an answer. He responded with, “All right, let the one who has never sinned cast the first stone!” We all have our own sin to worry about and we also have to be quick to forgive, and not point the finger at others.  John 8:1-11

Serve Others With An Attitude Of Gratitude – Jesus not only went about preaching but he served others. He washed Peter’s feet; he fed the multitudes who were gathered to listen to his preaching. There’s a lot of brokenness in this fallen world. We can invite others to share a meal, and we can look for opportunities to fellowship with others who might need a friend. Giving to the less fortunate is what Jesus considers giving unto him.  Matthew 25:40  When we look for the positives in our lives, we will realise that even in the worst of days that we have much to be thankful for.

Spread Love And Kindness With A Smile

With as much or as little as a smile we can spread joy, and it might just make someone’s day go a little bit smoother.  Jesus healed those who needed a miracle, and he himself is the miracle of Christmas.
